The Lord’s Prayer
Teach Us How to Pray
Your Kingdom Come. Your Will Be Done
“Therefore, you should pray like this:
Our Father in heaven, your name be honored as holy.
Your kingdom come. Your will be done on earth as it is in heaven.
Give us today our daily bread.
And forgive us our debts, as we also have forgiven our debtors.
And do not bring us into temptation, but deliver us from the evil one.”
Matthew 6:9–13

Have you ever had a situation in life in which you were stuck making a choice and just didn’t know what to do?
Know It – Your Kingdom Come
God’s kingdom on earth was created in the Garden of Eden. However, sin brought this kingdom to an end (Genesis 3:23–24). Throughout the generations, God promised to restore this kingdom through covenant promises with Abraham, Israel, David, and others (2 Samuel 7:12–13).
Jesus would be the catalyst who brought about the new kingdom. He fixes the sin problem that brought down God’s original plan (Matthew 3:2).
One day, King Jesus will come back to earth and establish His kingdom which will have no end (Revelation 11:15).
